PEW Survey on Internet and Covid

Fascinating. Hispanics more than whites or AFrican Americans (when controlling for age, which is the most determinative factor) consider internet access "essential" during Covid. (54% of Americans as a whole consider internet access "essential" while another 34% consider it "important, but not essential.")

Low-income Hispanics also far more likely to worry about making their broadband or cell phone payments than other low income demographics by about 20 points.

Not sure why this is. One possibility is relatives abroad, since they did not break our for Asians or other ethnicities that are likely to have relatives abroad. But actual data would be nice.
