THREEPIO? SHUT UP! SHUT DOWN ALL THE GARBAGE COMPACTORS ON THE DTENTION LEVEL! DO YOU HEAR ME? SHUT DOWN ALL THA GARBAGE COMPACTORS ON THE DETENTION LEVEL! <repeat until they hang up, unless they say: "No, shut them all down!" in which case i will listen to their pitch>
It is a sad thought that if Holden Caufield were alive today, he would probably be hanging out in some dark corner of Reddit or 4Chan morphing into a proto-INCEL as others commiserate with him about the Chads, Stacys, and other phonies. I'm not sure what this tells us about how society has changed or whether we are failing those with mental illness or coddling the violent or what. All i know is that if you give a 16 year old girl a copy of Catcher in the Rye they get something very different out of it than a 16 year old boy.
