I'm superstitious

Whatever my opinions on the New Basic Law: Israel as the Nation State of The Jewish People, I am superstitious enough to consider an ill omen that it passed during the Nine Days.

I don't like to be superstitious, but at the same time, the concept of "be very careful during the Nine Days is codified in Jewish law, so...yeah.

(And to this day, I don't know why Sharon ordered the evacuation of Gaza for Tisha B'Av itself. Even ignoring how that's worked out since...he couldn't wait a day?)
