A useful project in Colorado. 14 communities jointly built a fiber ring to provide a 400 gbps capacity backbone for a rural region of CO. This works much better than the crap Centurylink has deployed, and has already proved its value by providing multihoming for 911 and hospitals when Centurylink had a fiber outage.
