Why Are Americans Having Such Bad Sex?

osewalrusI am an outlier in American culture in so many ways I might as well be an alien from another planet. I have no idea if any of this is accurate.

But I will say I tried to this New Yorker story "Cat Person" that is referenced in this article and I just can't get through it. First, it is insanely tedious and boring. Second, I don't understand these people at all. I don't understand why the main character even talks to this guy, let alone maintain this ongoing text messaging relationship that culminates in their extremely awkward first date (and I can never get past that part, because I just lose interest).
But I keep reading articles about how people identify with this story. And I'm just like, "why? Is this really what people are like today?"
