I'm one of the people who has this weird sensory phenomena called synesthesia. It my case, it is "touch synesthesia." As I understand it, I have a sufficiently strong imagination and sense of empathy that when I observe other people being hit, slapped, touched it creates an "echo" phenomenon for me that my brain fires off the relevant neurons to feel like I was touched (although generally not with the same intensity as an actual physical contact). It also produces some other odd sensory effects -- notably taste but sometimes tactile -- when my brain is working on serious overload.

Now I can add vEAR.

Interesting. I always thought synesthesia referred to confusing the senses (e.g. tasting sound or hearing color), didn't realize there were variants.

No illusion of sound from the videos, but I did feel impact when watching the jumping towers.
