Every now and then . . .
I contemplate the fact that it is precisely the same people who mocked Facebook and Twitter users ten years ago for their supposed vanity, ego and self-centeredness for using social media ("why do you think anyone cares what you think" and "why on Earth would you want to tell the world anything about yourself" being the most common remarks) are now the ones most addicted to these media. But what I find even more interesting to contemplate is that not a single one of them ever notices that they were completely, utterly and totally wrong about both their assessment of the technology and their assessment of the younger generation embracing it.
Meanwhile, of course, most of young people today wouldn't be caught dead on Facebook.
