osewalrusI first wrote about the evolving nature of advocacy back in 2006 in a speech I gave at the Ford Foundation called "The Coming of the Swarm." This article is pretty much the evolution I predicted.

Which is why the failure of people to understand is so annoying. Dudes, this was perhaps not obvious 12 years ago, but it really has been increasingly obvious since then.
Annoyingly, this was what my book was supposed to be about back in 2009. but writing a book is not my nature and I ultimately had to refund the advance.
